By the End War, Fenix was regarded as a „legendary“ figure among the Daelaam. Enraged, Raynor swore he would kill Kerrigan for this betrayal. Upon his death, Kerrigan mocked Raynor, saying that Fenix died the way all protoss hope to do: in combat. Kerrigan expended her essence to defeat Amon, rendering her human again. She takes Jim to parts unknown so where they can finally be together. After defeating Amon, Kerrigan remained a Xel’naga and later took on a human form. However, Mengsk later contacts Kerrigan and reveals that Raynor is still alive and under his custody, using him as a leverage to have her keep the Zerg swarm, now reunited under her command, away from Dominion Territory.
